The Dr Kay Scarpetta books (by Patrica Cornwell) are crime books told through the Medical Examiner called Kay Scarpetta. Books dont need to be read in any particular order but some books are best red in sequence. Notes on each book (in order in the series) are as follows as topics can be distressing for some readers:
Postmortem is about a sexual crime murderer Body of Evidence is about a stalker murderer All that Remains is about a couples murderer Cruel and Unusual is about a muderer that leaves evidence suggesting that the murderer was killed by electric chair (death sentance). 1st book in Temple Gault sub-series The Body Farm is about a murder in North Carolina. 2nd book in Temple Gault sub-series. From Potters Field is about a Christmas Eve murder. 3rd book in the Temple Gault sub-series Cause of Death is about a cult performing terrorist actions at a nuclear power plant in Virgina. Unnatural Exposure is about a biological virus murderer Point of Origin is about a fire bug murderer. Kay Scarpetta's lover is "Killed" off Black Notice is about a decomposed body found on a cargo ship. 1st book in the Chardonae sub-series The Last Precient is about a murderer who tortures his victims. 2nd book in the Chardonae sub-series Blowfly is about a serial killer in Baton Rouge. Kay Scarpetta's lover returns from the dead. 3rd book in the Chardonae sub-series Trace is about the murder of a young child Predator is about a cold murder case investigation. Also has a pyscological study running in it.

Oh I've read one of them. I prefered Karin Slaughters books to be honest, but those really aren't bad at all. Infact they are good...

Yeh that would make sense.
I mean I read those first, but then I noticed these books in the library, that were being classifed as sixth form only, and I kinda went, I'm reading those, and then it turned out I loved them even more...

We had the first three at home. I stated reading them at 14 and got hooked
