Which is your favourite Harry Potter book and why?

HBP. I thought it was the best written, the most descriptive and seriously misleading. At first look its so shallow, and bare, but it definitely sets the scene, is actually quiet deep, and gets you thinking. JK could have written some bits better, but it was definitely fabulous, through I thought her portrayable of Dumbledore was a little off, it didn't seem quiet right...

I agree with you in that HBP was my favourite. I loved all the extra little bits you found out that you'd been wanting to know since PS. There were so many red herrings in it and so many cliff hangers. It really sets the scene for a brilliant final book! I liked the subtle clues about Ginny and the way that it always had more than one plot. Definitely the best book, fantastic!

Yes that too!
All the subtle clues, the different plots. A work of genius. Finding out all the stuff you wanted to know was great, but Dumbledore definitely lied to Harry about a few things, in either HBP or OotP. I don't know what, but I know that he did, because nothing adds up, the statements condradict each other.

Yeah there's been a lot of lying but Snape's role was great! Snape was so decieving and cunning, in all the books really but we noticed it in that one. I liked Slughorn's contribution, I thought Slughorn was quite funny and I liked seeing Tom Riddle's childhood, that was good. I thought Lavander and Ron were funny!

Mine is PoA. I like how it is a lot darker than the others. Perhaps HBP is dark as well, but Sirius is so cool, and this book is my favourite because it is Sirius' first appearance.

i love the goblet of fire. it has lots of new and interesting characters along with the old, classic characters. i also like just all of the different tasks and the twist at the end. its' also a great film, although they cut out so much of it.

i think HBP is a let down to be honest. i can't even remember much from it because it sort of dragged through. it was also quite dark the whole way through whereas the others are exciting and a bit more memorable. i find it difficult to read because i just didn't get into it as much as the others. it did only take me like about a day to read but that was really just out of the need to read it fast

I found OOTP more like that!

CoS is my favourite because it's the first time you meet the young Voldemort and I thought the disembodied voice in the walls was creepy.
HBP is a close second, I thought it was lighter and funnier and a welcome relief after the jumbled plot and broody Harry of book 5.

OotP was my favorite. This was because it was almost the start of a new series because Voldy was back in the picture. Its almost like the beginning of the end.
